Our Story
Perfumer-led olfactive studio
Mabelle O’Rama is an award-winning independent olfactive studio based in London, exploring scent as a bridge between nostalgia and fantasy.
Founded in 2022, the studio creates perfume, olfactive art and scent workshops designed to encourage a deeper connection with our sense of smell.
Our perfumes are composed and made in small batches in our London studio, bringing together natural materials and modern perfumery to create scents that sit somewhere between the familiar and the imagined.
Since its launch, the studio has received international recognition from the Art and Olfaction Awards, The Fragrance Foundation UK and Marie Claire UK, and its perfumes can now be discovered through selected retailers around the world.
Mabelle O’Rama
Mabelle is the perfumer and founder of the Studio, as well as an olfactive artist and scent researcher.
Her journey into perfumery began somewhat unexpectedly during the pandemic. What started as a personal exploration of scent gradually developed into a multidisciplinary olfactive studio.
Today, her work draws on the places, cultures and memories that have formed her: her Phoenician heritage, her upbringing in Lebanon, her life in London, and her fascination with the cosmos, our wider home. She uses scent as a starting point to move somewhere between what is remembered and what is imagined.
Her interest in scent extends beyond perfume, with ongoing research into the relationship between smell, the brain, memory and wellbeing.
Mabelle was named Perfume Person of the Year by ÇaFleureBon in 2024 and was a finalist for Rising Star at The Fragrance Foundation UK Awards in 2026.
